Piledriver: WWE Garrett show starts to run ads for two matches - Montgomery Advertiser

A couple of matches have been advertised for the upcoming WWE RAW house show at Garrett Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 7.

TV ads have broadcast during this past week’s “RAW” and “SmackDown Live” programs promoting that Kevin Owens will defend the universal championship against United States champion Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins against Rusev.

Other stars promoted for the show on the Garrett Coliseum website include The New Day, Rusev with Lana, Enzo and Big Cass, RAW women’s champion Charlotte and Sasha Banks.

Ticket prices range from $15-$100.

Special SmackDown program Tuesday: “SmackDown Live” will present a packed event called “Wild Card Finals” on Tuesday.

In the main event, AJ Styles defends the WWE championship against Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin in a triple threat match.

SmackDown women’s champion Alexa Bliss defends the title against Alexa Bliss.

SmackDown tag team champions Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt defend the titles against Heath Slater & Rhyno, American Alpha and The Usos in a four corners match.

Also, John Cena returns.

Royal Rumble news: Speaking of Owens and Reigns, the two will square off for the universal title at the “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view event, which takes place Jan. 29.

NXT special Wednesday: A two-hour NXT special from this month's house show in Osaka, Japan, airs at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the WWE Network.

Matches from that show include Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Samoa Joe for the NXT championship, Asuka vs. Nia Jax for the NXT women's championship, DIY vs. Tajiri & Akira Tozawa for the NXT tag team championship, Liv Morgan & Aliyah vs. Billie Kay & Peyton Royce and Oney Lorcan vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas.

TNA news: Total Nonstop Action will reportedly conduct “Impact Wrestling” TV tapings beginning with a live Jan. 5 broadcast at 7 p.m. on Pop TV at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, and will air a live pay-per-view event on Jan. 6.

The pay-per-view is a “One Night Only” event.
