Ever since the brand extension split the WWE superstar roster between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown LIVE, there have been some very busy commissioners and general managers. On Raw, GM Mick Foley has had to make some very important decisions and choices, and this week is no different. Tonight from Charlotte, North Carolina, Foley will not only address Chris Jericho for his actions last week but also have a serious meeting with another superstar.
Mick Foley does a lot of the grunt work ahead of him tonight, and he has a very busy night ahead of him in Charlotte. His first order of business is not likely going to be a fun one as it will be a serious meeting with a popular superstar.
At Survivor Series, Sami Zayn had the chance to bring the Intercontinental Title to Monday Night Raw if he could defeat The Miz. Unfortunately for Team Red, that didn’t end up happening even though it was a rather valiant effort.
As recapped by the official website of WWE, Mick Foley admired Sami Zayn for his attempt at trying to win the IC Title for Monday nights, but his loss meant there would be “ramifications.”

Actually, it was Mick Foley who came out to the ring to have the match stopped and end Sami Zayn’s embarrassment. Daily Wrestling News is reporting that Foley is going to meet with Zayn on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, and it seems serious.
On a somewhat more humorous, but still serious, note, Mick Foley is going to have a very busy night this evening with Zayn, but he has more business to attend to as well.
Last week, Seth Rollins took on WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a No Disqualification Match which had Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho banned from ringside. Near the end of the match, a fan in a Sin Cara mask interfered and began beating down Rollins. After a minute, the mask was pulled off to reveal it was actually Jericho under the mask.
A fan reached out to Foley on Twitter to ask for a rematch between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble. The fan appeared to be a little confused in his tweet, but Foley understood what he meant and responded.
That goes to show you that Foley will be addressing the situation regarding Y2J and his illegal interference last week on Raw. He was going to discuss the situation with Stephanie McMahon, but Jericho had to be his usual snarky self.
Yes, that is a rather expected response from Chris Jericho when he is on the hot seat and doesn’t think someone is worthy of even commenting on him. That is not going to stop Foley from dealing with him directly on Raw even though Seth Rollins unleashed a bit of his own punishment last week.
[Image by WWE]Even though Stephanie McMahon is the commissioner of Monday Night Raw, it is General Manager Mick Foley who seems to have to do all the dirty work. The situation with Chris Jericho is one that should be quite fun regarding his actions last week. As for Foley’s meeting with Sami Zayn? That one could be much more interesting and end up bringing about some very intriguing storylines for the popular WWE superstar.
