Wade Barrett made his first wrestling-related appearance since quitting WWE by shocking fans of the hit UK podcast Gorilla Position.
The English grappling star, aka Preston's Stuart Bennett, disguised himself as NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
The 36-year-old then gate-crashed the live recording of the acclaimed podcast's 100th episode at Indigo at The O2 in London.
Wade fooled fans into thinking he was Nakamura, employing a violinist to play the entrance music of the Japanese 'King of Strong Style'.
However, despite imitating his trademark red jacket and bizarre dance moves, those in attendance could tell all was not as it seemed.
The ex-Intercontinental Champion then revealed himself to a big cheer from the crowd and threatened to give the violinist his signature Bull Hammer Elbow.
The self-depreciating brawler, who left WWE in June, played along by jokingly throwing some of his old Nexus, The Corre and King Barrett merchandise in a bin.
Wade then gave a rendition of his much-loved Bad News Barrett character, cutting a vintage promo, complete with lectern and gavel.
The avid Preston North End fan, who became a household name in the US during his 10-year spell with WWE, wasn't the only star in attendance.
Host James Delow and Gorilla Position crew members Ash Rose and DJ Skillit also welcomed current WWE superstars Finn Bálor and Bayley.
The Irish Demon King and the former NXT Women's Champion addressed a number of topics as they fielded questions from the crowd.
WWE’s first Universal Champion Bàlor revealed who he would like to face at WrestleMania, the latest on his in-ring return plus some choice words for UFC great Conor McGregor.
When asked about his shoulder injury, he said: “The shoulder is feeling good. The target and goal the whole time since the accident happened has been WrestleMania, and that hasn’t changed.
“There’s a possibility I may be ready a week or two before that, but as of now the target is WrestleMania.”
Bayley chatted about her current role on Monday Night Raw, the wild fans at WWE’s Glasgow shows and her thoughts on main-eventing WrestleMania.
