WWE News: Kevin Owens Twitter Rants Against Mothers And Kids Continue After House Show Incident - The Inquisitr

You don’t want to mess with Kevin Owens on Twitter. The reigning WWE Universal Champion has been known to stay in his heel character on social media, and while this isn’t unusual for wrestling’s bad guys, it can be argued that “KO” has taken social media heeling to a new level. With Owens having gone viral in recent days due to an angry Facebook post from a mother of a 7-year-old fan, it appears as if he’s not quite done trolling the mothers and their kids, as evidenced by some of his newer Twitter posts.

When Kevin Owens goes off on Twitter, chances are you may get a sarcastic response from the man, or in many cases, get blocked as a follower. He’s justified this behavior in previous interviews, and when he appeared earlier this year on the Chad Dukes Show, he admitted to calling out Twitter users for disrespectful behavior, while trying to “keep it as respectful” as possible. In quotes from the interview published by Daily DDT, he also explained his rationale behind blocking certain users for their comments.

“I block lot of people. As many people I respond to, I block way more people. Like anybody that says anything that I feel is disrespectful in any way, I block. I’ve blocked people for saying I was their second favorite wrestler. You’re blocked.”

While one can say that Kevin Owens’ Twitter actions are part of his heel character, there are some who feel that he takes things too far. On Monday, the Inquisitr reported on an incident at a WWE Live event, which upset a mother of a 7-year-old boy who happened to be wearing a Roman Reigns shirt. Reigns is scheduled to face Owens for the Universal Championship at Sunday’s Roadblock pay-per-view, and in true heel fashion, KO singled out the boy for his choice of attire, making the following comments.

“You should get this shirt. Actually don’t get this shirt. I don’t want you to ever wear my shirt.”

The mother’s Facebook post had gone viral, and Cageside Seats had also covered the incident, including a short clip of Owens yelling at the young boy in the Roman Reigns “Believe That” t-shirt. The publication quoted the child’s mother, who said that her son did not take well to Owens’ heelish actions.

“My heart sank. He became visibly upset, sat down and kept staring at the gate. I couldn’t help it, (and) I started crying.”

As he has often done in the past, KO posted a sarcastic tweet on Sunday in response to the woman’s Facebook post, accusing her of complaining to get “free stuff” for her kid. And with the incident now several days old, Kevin Owens is still taking to Twitter, still responding to mothers who have spoken out against him in the light of what had happened.

As seen in the above Twitter posts, Owens had called out a mother for not being able to think intelligently and logically, blaming that for her child’s crying. And speaking of kids crying, Owens had referenced that in an earlier tweet advertising his upcoming WWE appearances, bragging that he “wrestles and makes people cry.”

Has he gone too far, and is he ignoring the fact that young children oftentimes aren’t aware that wrestlers are merely putting on a show and playing characters that may not represent their true selves? That’s what the mother of the boy in the Roman Reigns shirt feels, as she had stated in her Facebook post.

“My son is 7 not 15 or 16 where they can take someone they idolize talking to them like that but 7. We have been to many events: TLC, Smackdown, Hell in a Cell, NXT, and the draft. He doesn’t want to go anymore.”

Still, that’s probably not going to stop Kevin Owens from taking to Twitter and speaking his mind, not to mention criticizing and blocking users he deems as disrespectful and/or out-of-line.
