The latest WWE rumors ahead of Sunday’s WWE Roadblock 2016 could indicate the winner results for the upcoming event. At this event, the main event could feature either Kevin Owens defending the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns or it could be a 30-minute Ironman match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair. According to WWE Leaks in their recent report, the Roadblock betting odds from Kambi sports books indicate that Rusev, Seth Rollins and Rich Swann are all favorites to win their matches. Rusev is a 3 to 10 favorite in his match against Big Cass. Cass gets his first solo match on the pay-per-view pre-show and is an 11 to 5 underdog. Rollins is at 7 to 20 odds against Chris Jericho (39 to 20), while Rich Swann is a 1 to 5 odds on favorite to retain the WWE Cruiserweight title. Swann will defend the belt in a Triple Threat match with his opponents Brian Kendrick at 3 to 1 odds and TJ Perkins at 5 to 1 odds to win.

There are several other big championship matches going down on Sunday night in addition to the Cruiserweight. The speculation running right now involves which match will be the main event, and who will leave as the major champions. In one match, Kevin Owens puts the WWE Universal Championship on the line against United States champion Roman Reigns.
While Reigns could leave Roadblock a dual champion with two belts, Owens isn’t contending for the U.S. championship in the match. That said, Owens is the favorite to win the Universal title match at 2 to 5 odds, while Reigns is a 7 to 4 underdog. There are some rumors floating around that WWE may put both titles on Reigns, so that is certainly a match to keep an eye on.
Some speculation has involved Owens holding the WWE Universal Championship for WrestleMania. That would allow for he and Chris Jericho to have a match over the title at Mania. The two former best friends have recently been at odds, so it’s probably not far fetched to expect that they’ll have a match coming down the road, possibly on “the grandest stage of them all.” There have been rumors about Jericho or John Cena winning the Royal Rumble, leading to the winner challenging whoever has the title for their brand.
Basically, if Owens retains at Roadblock, it could give Jericho stronger odds to win the Rumble as he yet to win the match during his career. There have also been WWE rumors discussed via sources including Inquisitr that an Undertaker vs. AJ Styles match could take place at the Rumble or Mania, leaving a lot up in the air for the WWE’s title pictures right now.
Some of the other big speculation for Sunday’s WWE event is that the women will once again main event the pay-per-view. Sasha Banks and Charlotte have had an interesting program with their back-and-forth swapping of the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Sasha enters Sunday’s 30-minute Ironman match as champion and is a 3 to 5 favorite to retain.

Charlotte currently has underdog odds of 6 to 5 to win. The interesting aspect here is that Charlotte Flair has yet to lose at a WWE pay-per-view event, and could be a wise bet here to win the title back as obvious as it looks. There are WWE rumors that have been started up involving Charlotte possibly defending the title against Bayley at WrestleMania 33 next year in Orlando, Florida.
One thing to keep in mind is that these WWE betting odds are merely created by sports books based on who has the role of favorites to win the matches. They should never be a clear cut indicator of who will win and lose the big matches. At Roadblock, it seems WWE has several big decisions to make with their two main championship matches as they could help paint a clearer picture of what matches will happen at the upcoming Royal Rumble and WrestleMania events.
