Another championship title is coming to the WWE.
On Thursday, Dec. 15, the professional wrestling company announced it will crown its first-ever United Kingdom champion during a live two-night tournament on the WWE Network.
"Our passionate U.K. fans deserve to have their own Champion,” WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Paul “Triple H" Levesque, said.
The single-elimination will feature competitors from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
“The tournament is the next step in our ongoing strategy to create localized content for our global WWE Network, develop another brand that engages our passionate fans, and add a new dimension to our on-going storylines," Levesque said.
The WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament will air live on the WWE Network on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Sunday, Jan. 15.
